On Sunday 9th October 2016 we had a shared lunch to continue the discussion on how the Meeting could support sustainability. This followed up on some ideas from a Study Group on the subject held this July
Meeting Day Out (16 photos)
On 21st September 2016 6 of us from Worcester Meeting visited the National Memorial Arboretum on the UN Day of Peace.
We wondered around the extensive grounds before arriving at the Quaker Memorial where we joined with others for Meeting for Worship. We then listened to the story of how the place came into being.
A Taste of Africa (4 photos)
A fund raising event for FemPads took place at the Meeting House on Sunday 11th September 2016.
Emma Winscomb led The Rainbow Choir and others in some African singing and Drumlove added the rhythm of drum playing. During the interval there was African food.

May ran at the Redditch 5k Run for Life. She did it in the rain in 35 minutes.

Fempads fund raiser (7 photos)
A bring and buy afternoon tea of sweet and savoury took place in the Meeting House on Sunday 1st November 2015. Sharon raised £280 and among other requirements hopes to buy, at long last, a new press stud machine for the fempads.
Concert for Syrian Refugees (11 photos)
On Saturday 26th september there was an acoustic concert in the Meeting House in aid of Syrian Refugees.
To date there has been a collection of over £1000. Thanks to Bob Young for the photos.

Shumi Shahjahan came after Meeting, with her mother and Sharon Multani, to talk briefly and answer questions about being a Muslim woman today.
Shared Lunch (13 photos)
Many Friends enjoyed the shared lunch, poems and music following Meeting to celebrate Val and Martin’s 10th Wedding Anniversary. It was a very pleasant memorable event.
Garden Party (23 photos)
The Garden Party held Saturday 8th August was a great success with around 40 adults and children attending. There was lots of food and lovely music and dancing. And over £11 was raised for Maggs from the refreshments. (Maggs is a local Worcester charity that provides for the homeless)
We made presentations to Mary Calloway who is moving to Manchester and Janis and John Bethel who are moving to Exmouth. Also to Monica Denham who has made a wonderful framed picture featuring Mary Speechley’s poem about our London Plane Tree. This is a very special picture with beautiful calligraphy which is now hanging in the lobby of the Meeting House.
